I change my strategy up a little with the Aerospray, though, because it has the mines. And since they both come with Ink Striker, you can't go wrong. The Aerospray is weak, but it has incredible rate of fire, which makes it easy to spray a lot of ground as well. 52 Gal is obviously brute force, but you can cover a lot of ground with it fairly quickly. They both do the same basic job, though with different strengths. 52 Gal with Ink Strike or the Aerospray gold. If I'm not rolling, I'm either using the. I like it for flat, open area maps, like the oil rig or the docks (the one with all the big crates and the moving cranes), though the warehouse is a good one for the roller too. Whenever the maps call for it, I'm all over that. The Krak-On Roller is my definite go-to weapon of choice. While I'm more of a mind my own business and cover as much ground as possible type of player, I also recognize the importance of teamwork and like the surprise factor seeing all enemies on a map or having boosted defense for an ambush provides. The bubble shield and echolocator are great for deep invades into the enemy base. Most people are slow to react and can be easily picked off. I'm a particularly huge fan of the kraken and bubble shield specials. Splat bombs are very useful for picking off unsuspecting snipers and tightly clumped groups of enemies. None of the sub weapons are overly flattering, though you can't go wrong with an old fashioned grenade. It's therefore very useful to have special abilities and sub weapons that can be used both offensively and defensively. When playing alone, I tend to split off and cover the territory away from the rest of my team. I tend to play quite a bit more Turf War than Splat Zones, so I naturally gravitate towards equipment that helps me cover more ground. If I had to pick a top three, I'd probably go with the Krak-on Roller, the N-Zap, and the Splattershot Jr. I absolutely love rollers and rapid fire guns. I'm wondering what the weapons of choice in Splatoon are for everyone on ZD.
